About the Assistance Grants – Access to Industry Priority Uses of Agvet Chemicals programme for 2015-16.
The Australian Government has committed $8 million over four years from 2014-15 to 2017-18 to support improved access to agvet chemicals. One element is an assistance grants programme to support applications to the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) for industry agreed priority uses of agvet chemicals.

The grants programme was designed in consultation with APVMA and interested Research and Development Corporations, agricultural producers and rural industry peak bodies. These important stakeholders were also consulted throughout the development of programme guidelines.

Access to safe and effective agricultural and veterinary (agvet) chemicals is important to Australian agricultural and livestock industries, the community and the environment. The grants programme will assist industry to gain or maintain access to the identified priority uses of agvet chemicals.
