Grower Interest High around Jetti Duo
In July, Imtrade’s John Barbetti & Andrew Alexander hosted a group of Northern Eyre Peninsula growers in conjunction with WCT Rural, at Imtrade’s Wudinna product development site. Interest from the group was very high with strong indications of future use once registration is achieved. Growers like Wudinna local, Ash Barnes have been impressed with the simplicity of a low volume co-formulation and a single use rate product.
The trials at Wudinna highlighted Jetti’s high level of crop safety when correctly incorporated. This is coupled with the products wide range of controlled weeds.
“Although we have a placed a great deal of importance on Ryegrass control we can not overlook the value of Jetti Duo’s ability to control less critical weeds like Wild Oats, Wireweed and Fumitory. All of which are very common on the site” said John Barbetti.
The day also focused on the importance of an integrated approach when selecting any pre-emergent chemical application. Good practice includes paying close attention to the chemical group mode of action and rotating use patterns to preserve the effectiveness of all currently available chemistry.
