In September, Imtrade hosted a unique week-long educational tour for a select group of growers and re-sellers from around Australia.
The tour provided an inside view of the current innovations in development, a preview to new releases and trials and an opportunity to participate in on-site demonstrations. It also provided an excellent forum for discussion and input from this team of representatives.
Dr Ross Rainbird, MD of Imtrade, said that “This tour provided a great opportunity for growers and re-sellers from around the country to view our Kwinana based laboratory and manufacturing facilities where we have a number of world-class projects in progress specific to Australian conditions.”
Following the visit to the Kwinana based laboratories; the tour party headed to the West Australian Wheatbelt town of Goomalling where one of Imtrade’s many demonstration trial sites is located. Excellent discussions were facilitated around the exciting range of new pre-emergent formulations under development for Australian cereal crops including Imtrade’s Jetti Duo and two more upcoming formulations.
Imtrade is one of the only Australian based R&D companies with a focus on providing solutions to Australian farmers and growers that maximise their production of high yielding, healthy crops. It was therefore important to share the latest in developments and also our collective knowledge, stories and experiences.
As we all know, critical and top of mind nationally is ryegrass control, and participants were shown the current barley trials run by Imtrade where some excellent ryegrass control results could be seen.
The tour also included the annual Liebe Group Spring Field Day where a wide range of trials were presented covering a multitude of topics. The concurrent session format allowed attendees to view a multitude of sites and presentations and the sheer amount of information proved invaluable.
